Neighbors are the other members on the eForeverYoung site that have been connected to you after an approval process.  Neighbors are people that you physically know, or maybe just virtually know.  The network of neighbors on eForeverYoung is the backbone of social connections that can be enhanced through the use of the site.  Neighbors are typically your friends, family, or acquaintances and eForeverYoung’s network utility helps facilitate communication and coordination among friends in a social network setting.

I know people who are not members of the site, but I want to invite them and be my neighbor.

I accidentally sent a neighbor request out, but want to cancel it. How do I do this?

I don’t want to become neighbors with the person who has just sent a request to me.

Can I delete any of my current neighbors, and will they be notified?

I can’t find someone who I know is a member of the site and I would like them to be my neighbor.

You can request any member of the site that you are able to view, to become your neighbor.  After a request is sent, that member will be notified, and they will then have the choice to become your neighbor.  Once you are neighbors with someone else on the site, they will be able to view your personal profile.  Refer to privacy for clarification about what is shared.

There is a link on the top right of almost every page on the eForeverYoung site titled “Invite.”  This allows members to send automatic invitation emails to people they know for membership to the site.  Users that are invited by current members can register in order to become an active member on eForeverYoung.  Once an individual accepts your invitation to join eForeverYoung, he or she will automatically become your neighbor.

Unfortunately, eForeverYoung does not allow requests to be canceled once they are sent.  You can always remove that neighbor at a later date.

You are able to reject the request and there will be no notification sent to the requestor about the rejection.

You are able to delete your current neighbors by selecting remove neighbor when viewing their profile.  Once a neighbor is removed from your list, you will also be removed from their neighbor list.  Neither person will receive a notification about the fact that you both are no longer neighbors. 

These six neighbors are set by the number of correspondences you have had with those neighbors.  The top six neighbors you have communicated with will appear in this box.  eForeverYoung sets this as default and it is currently unable to be changed by members. 

When searching for a registered member on eForeverYoung, make sure you are typing his or her name correctly.  If all else fails, send that person an email clarifying how they are listed on eForeverYoung.  eForeverYoung is still enhancing the search capabilities.  If you still can not find them, search for them periodically and maybe they will eventually be listed.

Birthdays are an important event in anybody’s life and eForeverYoung feels that it is important that you are reminded about them.  Neighbors’ birthdays are automatically stored in your calendar and you will receive reminders for those birthdays.  You can also create your own reminders of upcoming birthdays that your calendar will automatically remind you about.  A simple message on one’s birthday can make it a more memorable day.
