Photos can be posted in multiple sections on eForeverYoung.  Members are allowed to post pictures in personal photo albums, group albums, family pages, and elsewhere.  Members, groups, families, and events are all represented by photos.  Photos are assigned to albums that allow you to customize what you are showing, as well as set privacy settings for the picture you have decided to post on the website.  Information about posting photos can be found in the site guide section.

My picture is not showing up.

First things first, check the file name.  Make sure their are no spaces or special characters (%, &, etc.) in the name of the picture file.  You can rename the picture while browsing for images in order to avoid a failed upload.

If the dimensions of a photo are too large, you might not be able to view the photo as a thumbnail.  You can use standard photo editing software to decrease the dimensions of a picture.  These photo editing programs often come with your computer or camera.  Just resize the picture and try again.  Also, make sure the picture file contains .gif or .jpg at the end of the file.  If the picture never shows up we suggest trying another one.  We continually test this, so if your picture does not show up today, try again in the future.

Can I save a picture to my computer?

Sure, on a PC just right click and select “Save Picture As…” and choose a destination file on your computer.  If you have a Mac, hold down the mouse button to make the menu appear and click “Save Picture As…”  Before you finalize a save to your computer we suggest renaming the photo to something that describes it and placing it in a folder where you keep your other picture files.

Can I post a picture in a message or blog?

You can post a picture in a blog, but eForeverYoung does not allow pictures to be included in private messages.

It’s taking a long time to upload a picture.

Upload time is effected both by your connection and the size of the picture.  The slower the connection, or the larger the picture, the longer it will take to upload.  If you picture is larger than 3 mb, try loading a smaller picture.

Why can’t I upload more than one picture at a time?

Currently, eForeverYoung only allows for one picture to be uploaded at a time.  We are developing ways to facilitate multiple uploads and if you have any input write to us under the feedback.
