Registration is just the first step to begin using the features on eForeverYoung’s network.  After filling out the registration form and submitting it to eForeverYoung, you will receive a confirmation email (look in your SPAM or Junk folder if you don’t see it).  After confirmation you will still need to wait for your active membership to be approved by eForeverYoung administration.  This will take between one hour to a few days; depending on the demand for memberships.

Your activation email will confirm that you are now an active member on eForeverYoung and you will be able to sign in using your email and password you provided during registration.  These are both provided again in your activation email.

After signing in for the first time, your homepage will seem rather bland.  Let’s start by filling out some information in your profile preferences.  Click the link “Edit my preferences” and this will direct you to your profile.  Feel free to share what you would like to.  Hide your year of birth, if you would like, but add your birth-date (you can hide this).  All information has individual privacy settings “everyone” or “neighbors.”

The neighbor’s privacy on the bottom allows you to hide the individuals you have made a connection with to others on the site that you are not neighbors with.  Usually, showing your neighbors to others allows people to find other people on the network.

Lastly, add a picture of yourself for your profile and for others to recognize you.  If you don’t want to share a picture of yourself, find a picture that will represent you (a pet, scenic photo, an interest, etc.).  Make sure the picture file does not have too many spaces in the name or special characters (*, &, $, etc.).  Click upload.

Now, click “Update Profile” and you will now have some information in your profile on eForeverYoung.

Next, find other members.  Under “The Network” link you will find links to your neighbors, groups, and blogs.  There is a member search under the links on the left of the page.  Type in the last name of someone you are looking for and search for them.  Once you have found them, click the “Add as neighbor” link in their brief profile.  Now you can just wait for them to approve and you will begin your connections on the network.  If you can not find them, invite them through the “Invite” link at the top of the page.

Using the "Invite" link allows new members, that have accepted your invitation, to automatically be your neighbor after their account is activated.
